After being picked for the nationalwide TV Ad for AT&T she was a household name and stardom hardly left her until recently, she died of breast cancer.

Donyale Luna - The "almost-factory-girl" were also one of the early dark beau. Luna spent her off-hours partying at Andy Warhol's Factory and canoodling with the likes of Rolling Stones rocker Brian Jones and sometime paramour Klaus Kinski. Her nightlife pursuits took their toll on both her career and her health, and on May 17, 1979, she was pronounced dead in the hands of drug. First black model in British Vogue. Named model of the year in 1966 and she have Adel Roostein mannequin to her face!

Beverly Johnsons - broke down the doors for black supermodel by being the first dark swan to appear in 1974's Vogue. The once champion swimmer and with an ambition to be a lawyer also appeared in the cover of Glamour that made the circulation the particular issue doubled!

Today might be my last day to be able to update my blog during my working hours. IT dept has implemented some internet blockage therefore working hours will be boring +++!! No more downloads for me!

Back to Isabel Toledo, designer & wife to Ruben Toledo (responsible for all the illustration for Nordstrom Ads) is currently exhibition all her work since 1988. That includes the famous canary yellow dress that she made for Michelle Obama, ring a bell?

The whole exhibition is divided to many sections, from geometric, suspension to liquid architecture. So you get smoky-fluid dress and some stiff to the neck. Apparently she doesn't use paper patterns and go straight to the fabric! My favourite piece will be the one she created collaborating with her husband, she design and he draws (as in the print on the dress, hand-painted).

Wishful Thinking

Dear Santa (or whoever that is reading),

Pls send me Mr. Perfect or close to perfection. I cant tolerate people that keep on causing me brain damage or emotional imbalance. OK, i take my word back. Is there any software, pills or hormone jabs that can increase and improve ones cleverness and sensitivity? I might not need Mr. Perfect but just give me the boost substance so that i can provide it to the poor people around me. That will solve my misery.

Make sure the boost is good enough for them to understand and to take care of me. I need a shelter and not to constant provider.

Santa & misc., i have been a good girl this year (i think so but no how giving someone a gift right???)!
